What to Expect on Sundays

At Mercy, we view worship on Sundays as the center of our church’s life. Gathering for worship isn’t everything the church does, but it’s the core of what makes the church the church.

In our worship services, we love to take old things and make them new. So, we delight to sing hymns that have been proven generation to generation to draw the church’s attention to God’s grace in Jesus. Whatever songs we sing, though, our focus is on singing together. Our musicians work to create beautiful music, but the purpose of that beauty is to invite all our voices to sing together God’s praise.

We seek to be confessionally and historically rooted while being sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is doing presently. We want the teaching and preaching to be theologically rich while also reaching our hearts and moving our hands to serve. We want our worship to be orderly while warm and joyful.
